Mankind today is in a hugely important situation in many respects: knowledge, consciousness, connectivity, advances in technology, the planet’s ecology, the population size, etc… And it will have, accordingly, huge decisions to make. One of those decisions is related to the spiritual aspect of mankind’s life.
The greed and the lust for power and material possessions of the past few generations, as well as this one, left the planet scarred, sickened, barely able to sustain or regenerate itself. The total disregard that few wealthy or powerful governments and companies show for the environment and for the well-being of the rest of mankind, whether it relates to the economic, health, or safety aspects of others, in the pursuit of the “Mighty Buck”, does not bode well for a harmonious and peaceful continuation of life on the only planet we have for now.
We are witnessing today a spiritual revival noticeable in the established religions as well as in the peripheral fields of esoteric knowledge. It is quite unfortunate that it is expressed in terms of radicalism and hardening of the religious stances. Mankind would gain much by leaving religious matters to God, and concentrate their efforts instead on the well-being of mankind and of the planet that hosts them.
The “consciousness” revolution that started in the 1960’s got lost in the meanders of politics and in the individual pursuit of individual, personal satisfaction, and survived in too few people to be of any major consequence. The unrelenting rush after a power of any kind -riches, resources, fame, etc…- drowned the burgeoning aspirations that remained barely alive. The speedy progress of the technological advances, although not matched by an equivalent spiritual change, allowed the survival and limited proliferation of principles of care towards the world we live in, and to the attraction to spiritual values of some kind.
This young generation, though, has in its hands the tools, the capability, and the numbers to operate or even dictate a long overdue correction that will rectify and straighten out the road ahead. The advances in technology TV, Internet, cell-phones, etc…), their proliferation, and their “democratization” facilitated the increasing pace of knowledge, and the ease of communication and connection. The result is the spread of principles of dignity and respect and progress and human rights that existed in the previous generations only to a limited extent. Barriers and difficulties that haunted human relations, whether they are expressed in terms of ethnicity or gender or nationality or even religion are experiencing examination and change.
A new relationship between the different segments of mankind is in order, if we want to get over the hurdles and challenges that the future will inevitably present us with if we continue on this path. Today’s generation has all it takes -and all it needs- to initiate and operate the necessary changes to put mankind on a better road for peace, understanding, and progress. The trillions of dollars spent for armaments every year around the world could be put to a better use, the brain power wasted on weaponry and competitive jostling could enhance the human condition instead, and the misery that the conflicts generate would be prevented.
The old generation would not shake out the obsolete ideas of power acquisition and accumulation, and could not respond to the ideals that this new generation is entitled to aspire to. If this new generation wants to usher in a better world, it will have to do it on its own. But the result is worth the effort, because the alternative, if left in the hands of the old generation, is the crippling of the planet.

Cette Jeune Génération est l’Espoir de l’Humanité
L’humanité est à un carrefour très important à plusieurs égards: le savoir, la prise de conscience, la connectivité, le progrès technologique, l’écologie planétaire, la population mondiale, etc…Et elle aura, par conséquent, de très importantes décisions à prendre. L’une de ces décisions se rapporte à l’aspect spirituel de l’humanité.
L’avidité et l’attrait pour le pouvoir et l’acquisition de possessions matérielles des quelques générations précédentes, aussi bien que de celle-ci, ont laissé la planète marquée, maladive, presque incapable de se maintenir et de se régénérer par elle-même. Le manque total d’égard que quelques gouvernements et companies riches et arrogants ont pour le bien-être de la planète et du reste de l’humanité, que cela se rattache à l’économie, la santé, ou la salubrité des autres, dans la poursuite de la richesse, n’augure rien de bon pour la continuation d’une vie harmonieuse et paisible sur la seule planète que nous ayons pour le moment.
Nous assistons aujourd’hui à une renaissance spirituelle, visible aussi bien dans les religions établies que dans les domaines péeiphériques d’activités ésotériques. Il est bien malheureux que cela s’exprime en termes de radicalisme et de durcissement des positions religieuses. L’humanité gagnerait beaucoup si elle laissait les affaires religieuses à Dieu, et conçentrerait ses efforts sur le bien-être des êtres humains et de la planète qui leur sert d’habitat, comme Allah l’indique.
La révolution de prise de conscience qui a commençé dans les années 60 s’est perdue dans les meandres de la politique et la poursuite de la satisfaction personnelle individuelle, et a survécu chez trop peu de gens pour avoir un impact majeur. L’incessante ruée après un pouvoir de quelque sorte -richesse, ressources, célébrité,…- a noyé les aspirations bourgeonnantes, qui ont à peine survécu. La croissance rapide des progrès technologiques, bien que non balancée par un changement spiritual équivalent, a quand même permis l’existence d’une prolifération de principes de souci envers le monde dans lequel on vit, et l’attraction de valeurs spirituelles de quelque sorte.
Cette jeune génération, cependant, a dans ses mains les outils, la capacité, et le nombre pour opérer ou dicter une correction longuement délayée, qui rectifierait la voie devant nous. Les avances en technologie (télévision, internet, téléphones portables, etc…), leur prolifération, et leur “démocratisation” ont facilité la croissance de transmission de connaissances, et ont rendu la communication et la connection bien aisées. Ce qui en a resulté est la dissémination des principes de dignité, de respect, de progrès, et de droits humains qui n’ont existé chez les générations précédentes qu’à un degré limité. Les barrières et les difficultés qui avaient hanté les relations humaines, qu’elles aient été exprimées en termes d’ethnicité, de masculinité ou feminité, de nationalité, ou même de religion passent par une période de révision et de changement.
Une nouvelle relation entre les différents segments de l’humanité est nécessaire, si on veut passer par dessus les obstacles et défis que l’avenir nous préeentera inévitablement si on continue sur le même chemin. La génération présente a tout ce qu’il faut -et tout ce dont elle a besoin- pour initier et opérer les changements nécessaires pour mettre l’humanité sur une meilleure voie de paix, de compréhension, et de progrès. Les milliers de milliards dépenses pour des armements chaque année à travers le globe pourraient être mis à meilleur usage, l’énergie cérébrale gaspillée sur la création de moyens de destruction et de compétitivité insalubre pourrait s’attaquer à l’amélioration de l’horrible condition dans laquelle la moitié de l’humanitée moisit, et la misère engendrée par les conflits non nécessaires serait évitée.
La vieille génération ne pourra pas se débarrasser des idées obsolètes d’acquisition et d’ accumulation de pouvoir, et ne pourra pas répondre aux idéaux auxquels cette nouvelle génération a le droit d’aspirer. Si cette jeune génération veut amener un monde meilleur, j’ai bien peur qu’elle aura à le faire par elle-même. Mais le résultat en vaut la peine, parceque l’alternative, si les choses sont laissées entre les mains de la vieille génération, ne fera qu’handicaper la planète, si ce n’est pire.
